A constrained prompt template gets far more consistent, idiomatic output than an open-ended "make this better."

Your bullet draft reads: "tell client delay, not our fault, vendor issue, new date next fri." Using the Architect/Compiler split, what should you decide before handing this to AI, versus what should the AI decide?

You (Architect) decide: the tone (apologetic but firm, not defensive), which facts must stay (vendor caused it, new date is next Friday), and who the audience is (a client, so keep it professional). AI (Compiler) decides: the exact sentence structure, connecting words, and phrasing that sounds natural and polished in English — the surface form, not the substance.
